Bayern Munich seems to be a serious option for Georginio Wijnaldum. Manager Humphry Nijman will leave on Friday Sports 1 know clearly that the German superpower can certainly contact us to discuss a possible cooperation. Wijnaldum can leave Liverpool with a transfer-free status after five seasons this summer, making him an attractive option for Bayern.

“Wijnaldum will soon be transfer-free and he will keep all options open”, says Nijman in the podcast of Sports 1. “Bayern Munich is a great club. If they are actually interested in Wijnaldum, there is of course always something to talk about.” The technical management has been looking for reinforcements for the midfield for some time and a transfer-free or cheap option is preferred. It is hoped to benefit from the fact that Wijnaldum has still not reached an agreement on contract extension.

Bayern reported earlier this week that Javi Martínez will be leaving the club after nine seasons, while Corentin Tolisso is also nominated to leave Munich. This leaves Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka, with Marc Roca and Tanguy Nianzou as alternatives to trainer Hansi Flick. In view of the corona crisis, Florian Neuhaus (Borussia Mönchengladbach) and Eduardo Camavinga (Stade Rennes) are labeled as too expensive by the Bayern administration.

Sports 1 reports on Friday that Wijnaldum was offered to Bayern by Liverpool not so long ago. In addition, the link with the Barcelona of trainer Ronald Koeman is also recalled. The German medium describes the Oranje-international as extremely suitable for Bayern, as Wijnaldum is in top condition and has rarely or never been injured. The thirty-year-old midfielder, who plays with Liverpool against Southampton on Saturday, came to 46 games in all competitions this season.
