West Ham United are trying to bring N'Golo Kante back to the Premier League. The Guardian reports on Friday that the Hammers have submitted a bid of around 24 million euros to Ittihad Club for the 33-year-old Frenchman. Both clubs are apparently keen on a deal.

It was only a year ago that Kante opted for big money in Saudi Arabia. The defensive midfielder ran out of his contract at Chelsea and signed for Ittihad Club for an annual salary of no less than 25 million euros.

Now West Ham wants to tempt Kanté to return to his 'beloved' Premier League. The veteran achieved his greatest successes at the highest level in England.

In 2015/16, Kante was the driving force behind Leicester City, which miraculously became national champions. This earned the Frenchman a transfer to Chelsea, who paid almost 36 million euros for his services.

In seven years at Stamford Bridge, Kanté won a national title, the FA Cup, the Champions League and the Europa League. In between, he also became world champion with France in 2018.

Six years later, Kanté still appears to be able to keep up the bluesalso saw West Ham. The 61-times international took France by the hand as usual at the last European Championship.

That's why we want the Hammers would love to replace Kalvin Phillips, who returned to Manchester City after an unfortunate loan spell. Aleix García was also in the picture, but the Spaniard has already left Girona for Bayer Leverkusen.

Julen Lopetegui, the new manager of West Ham, hopes that the deal will be completed. The coach has been a fan of Kanté for a long time and wanted him as coach of Real Madrid back in 2018. Kanté still has a two-year contract with Ittihad Club. So far, he has played 44 matches for the Saudi Arabian side.
