Josip Sutalo has appeared on the radar of Wolverhampton Wanderers. This is reported by journalist Ben Jacobs. The 24-year-old central defender came over from Dinamo Zagreb last summer, but has not yet managed to convince in the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Last Saturday it was announced that centre-back Max Kilman will be transferring from Wolverhampton to West Ham United. The transfer reportedly involves an amount of 47.5 million euros.

The Wolveswho finished 14th in the Premier League last season, have now settled on two defenders in their search for a replacement for Kilman, according to Jacobs. These are Sutalo and David Carmo.

“The Croatia international has not yet found its feet at Ajax and is available for around fifteen million euros this summer,” Jacobs reports about Sutalo. Last season, the 24-year-old defender, who is contracted to Ajax until mid-2028, was bought by the Amsterdammers for 20.5 million euros.

In recent weeks, Sutalo was still active with Croatia at the European Championship in Germany. He did not miss a minute for Croatia, who were already eliminated in the group stage.

The other defender Wolverhampton have in mind, 24-year-old Carmo, plays for FC Porto. He spent the past six months on loan at Olympiakos. With that club he conquered the Conference League at the end of May.

According to Jacobs, Wolverhampton have not yet made an offer for either player. “The expectation is also that the club will not spend all or a large part of what Kilman has brought in on a replacement,” the journalist said.
