Jelle ten Rouwelaar is set to leave Ajax. The goalkeeping coach had only been with the Amsterdammers for two weeks, but has now opted for a contract with Manchester United, managed by Erik ten Hag.

The club management does not put any obstacles in his way to enter into employment with the Red Devilsas reported The TelegraphAccording to the morning newspaper, Ten Rouwelaar can earn three times as much at Manchester United as his salary at Ajax.

The English giants are transferring a sum of one hundred thousand euros to buy out Ten Rouwelaar's contract. Ten Hag previously managed to add Ruud van Nistelrooy and René Hake to his Man United coaching staff.

Ajax acquired Ten Rouwelaar from Burnley and gave the former goalkeeper a one-year contract. The Frisian-born player previously worked as a goalkeeper coach at Anderlecht, NAC Breda and Oranje Under 20.

Ten Rouwelaar had a multi-year contract with Burnley, but decided to move to Ajax in the meantime. He was appointed in Amsterdam as a replacement for Anton Scheutjens, who has been ill at home for some time.

In the absence of Seuntjens, Erik Heijblok, the goalkeeping coach of Jong Ajax, took over the honours for the main squad of the Amsterdam club.

Ten Rouwelaar previously played for PSV, FC Groningen and NAC, among others, and played more than 300 matches in professional football. In 2016, he took his first steps in the world of goalkeeper training.
