A supporter of France, who was present at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Thursday, was beaten and bitten in his hand after the semi-final of the Nations League between Belgium and France (2-3). Jules Koundé handed the fan his match shirt personally after the final whistle. The joy was short-lived, however, as the uniform was brutally stolen by some other spectators. Mehdi YZ, a well-known rapper from Marseille, eventually got away with the shirt.

It promised to be a nice evening for the fan, after he saw the French team come back from a 2-0 deficit just before. However, the evening in Turin ended as a nightmare. Afterwards, the fan waved a Sevilla flag and a banner, on which he asked for Koundé’s match shirt. Accompanied by AS Monaco midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, Koundé gave him his uniform. “I can’t hide my frustration after someone attacked me for a match shirt,” the supporter said on Twitter.

According to the supporter, who accompanies his words with video footage of the moment, two people attacked him to take the shirt. “They bit my hand hard and I was hit, I finally gave in,” he continues. Finally, a steward intervened. “One of their friends inconspicuously removed the shirt from behind their backs and escaped with it. The search of the two people ultimately yielded nothing.” Clément plans to file a complaint.

The sad story doesn’t end there, as the fan later discovered Koundé’s shirt had come into the hands of rapper Mehdi YZ. Via Instagram, the rapper from Marseille, who was also present at the game on Thursday evening, boasted about the shirt obtained from the defender of Sevilla. “It’s still full of sweat and bitten to get it,” he said, showing the shirt. “Don’t blame me, I’m not the one who bit him… Sorry to the supporter who caught it and stole it from. I did not do it. I will not let you know who gave me the shirt.”

The victim said he was “extremely disappointed” that this event has ruined the evening in Turin and is sad that the shirt has gone to someone who does not deserve it. “There is a risk of it being put up for sale, so be careful.” The fan finally addressed Koundé: “I apologize for not being able to keep your match shirt…”
