Jovane Cabral has appeared on the radar of PSV, among other things Record report on Friday. Sporting Portugal wants at least twenty million euros for the 22-year-old wing attacker, who is in Lisbon until mid-2023. However, Cabral also has the option of extending his contract with Sporting. Trainer Rúben Amorim is in fact quite impressed with his development as a winger.

The above Portuguese newspaper adds that Cabral has an escape clause of sixty million euros. Despite this, the champion of Portugal currently has a much lower asking price. The PSV-linked winger closed the 2020/21 season with 8 goals and 5 assists in 28 games in all competitions. In the championship game against Boavista (1-0 win) last month, Cabral came in as a substitute.

Cabral is also no stranger to PSV. In the 2019/20 season, the Cape Verdean attacker met the Eindhoven club in the group stage of the Europa League. During the meeting in Eindhoven, which PSV won 3-2, he appeared as a substitute on the field of the Philips Stadium. Cabral was not part of the match selection two months later when Sporting beat the Eindhoven team with large numbers (4-0) on their own field.

The Cape Verde single international was killed last summer Record still mentioned as a possible signing of Fulham, Southampton and West Ham United. Southampton has even been in serious talks with Sporting, but a mid-term move to the Premier League failed to materialize for the young attacker. The Saints then managed to take over Theo Walcott from Everton.
