Noni Madueke is in the spotlight of ‘almost the entire European top’, they report Eindhovens Dagblad and Football International. Leicester City is mentioned as a concrete candidate for PSV’s nineteen-year-old wing attacker. The current number three of the Premier League would already want to pay twenty million euros for the youth international of England.

It is said that ‘Champions League clubs’ from the Bundesliga, England and Italy would have Madueke in their sights. From England called the London Evening Standard and the Daily Mail previously RB Leipzig, AC Milan, Leicester City, Bayern Munich, Leeds United and Crystal Palace as candidates. The Daily Mail wrote that Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has long been charmed by Madueke and wanted to bring him to Celtic earlier. At the time, Madueke chose a switch from Tottenham Hotspur to PSV over an employment contract in Scotland.

PSV would be aware of this interest, but believes that Madueke has long-term opportunities in Eindhoven. At the moment, however, the English wing attacker does not always get around to playing. Madueke chose PSV in 2018 with the possibility of playing time in mind and is now sitting on the bench for the first time, which slowly but surely causes his entourage to worry. This season Madueke played 29 official games, of which 9 as a basic player and in which he scored 9 goals and 8 assists. Trainer Roger Schmidt kept him on the reserve bench for ninety minutes in the home game against FC Groningen last week.

“I have many options for those positions at the moment, but everyone knows that Noni is a top player with a lot of potential,” he said. Football International from Schmidt during the press conference in the run-up to the home game against sc Heerenveen. “He has taken a step this season. He scored a lot of goals and gave a lot of assists, then he was injured longer, and the last two weeks I didn’t find him top in practice. This week he was much better so I look forward to him showing his worth in the coming weeks. And we are convinced that he can take the next step according to season. Whether he can be a basic player next season? Hell yes.”

PSV took Madueke away from the Tottenham Hotspur youth academy on a free transfer almost three years ago, where he had played for four years at that time. The Spurs in turn snatched him from the academy of Crystal Palace, where Madueke is said to be able to return. Madueke made his debut in the main squad of PSV last season and made 33 appearances for the time being, in which he scored 9 goals and 8 assists. The attacker also earned a place in the European Championship selection of Young England, which was eliminated in the group stage in March.
