The match between Jong PSV and TOP Oss in the Kitchen Champion Division has been postponed, the KNVB announced. The PSV promise team is ravaged by the corona virus. The game was to be played on Friday at 9 PM, but has been postponed to Monday, May 3 at 8 PM.

After consultation between the club doctor of PSV and the union doctor of the KNVB, it was decided on medical grounds to postpone the match, the KNVB indicates. The entire selection of Jong PSV has been quarantined. It reported earlier on Thursday Eindhovens Dagblad even though it was almost impossible to play the match because of the many infections.

Earlier this season, twelve corona infections were detected at Jong PSV in a short time. Last week, six players were again tested positive in a test round and in a new test round for the game with TOP Oss, there were again cases on top. It is not entirely clear how many players are involved, but it is no longer possible to draw up a representative team.

The game is important in the battle for the fourth and last period title in the Kitchen Champion Division. Young PSV, although excluded from participation in the play-offs, is second in the period standings with thirteen points from six matches. TOP Oss is fourth, with eleven points from six games, and still has a view of participating in the play-offs via the period title. The club is tenth in the regular ranking.
