Latest update:

Christophe Dugarry is there RMC Sports After the Champions League match between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona (2-3), Kylian Mbappé went all out. His trainer Luis Enrique also had to pay the price. The reason for Dugarry's outburst is the disappointing result of the Parisians.

The first leg in the quarter-finals of the Champions League had many twists and turns on Wednesday evening. Barcelona went into halftime with a 0-1 lead thanks to a goal from Raphinha, but trailed 2-1 after 52 minutes as Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha started the Parisian comeback. Barca eventually managed to win 2-3 thanks to goals from Raphinha again and substitute Andreas Christensen.

55-time French international Dugarry was not at all satisfied with the play of the home team. According to him, this was mainly due to Enrique's tactical choices. “We have seen the limits of his madness. I don't understand what he wanted to achieve with Marco Asensio and Kang-In Lee,” said Dugarry. Asensio was replaced halfway by Bradley Barcola. Lee Kang-In was able to leave the field for Warren Zaire-Emery after an hour of play.

“I think the right side of Barcelona was a weak spot,” continues the now 52-year-old Dugarry. “I didn't understand how PSG played. But that is no longer a surprise with Luis Enrique. He has put us in our place again, he is a huge swell.”

That didn't say everything yet. Dugarry continued his tirade by targeting superstar Mbappé, who will most likely move to Real Madrid after this season. “I'm not going to attack the footballer, that's too easy, everyone has seen it. I want to attack man,” Dugarry continues.

“What he showed on Wednesday was football of the worst kind. A top player can't play worse. We can all play bad sometimes, but this was an outrageous, disrespectful betrayal. Kylian, you spat in the face of the Champions League. Your attitude is an absolute disgrace, I didn't think you could sink that low,” Dugarry ranted.

It is not the first time that Dugarry has targeted Mbappé. At the beginning of January, he already expressed the wish that Mbappé would leave the French capital. “From the bottom of my heart: I hope he leaves,” Dugarry said at the time. “It's stagnating. He becomes more predictable in the duels, he lacks strength and character. He is invisible too often. His appearance is negative, he increasingly stands with his arms in the air.”

Mbappé did not play his strongest game on Wednesday evening, but is still the most productive man at PSG this season. In 41 appearances this season he has already scored 39 goals and has also been a scorer 9 times. Next summer he will face the Dutch national team with France at the European Championships in Germany.
