Ayodele Thomas will make the switch from the youth academy of Feyenoord to PSV after this season, the people of Eindhoven announced through the official channels. The 15-year-old left winger has signed a contract until mid-2026.

In the presence of friends and family, Thomas signed his first contract with PSV. He has played in Feyenoord’s youth academy since 2020. However, the attacker has now opted for a new challenge. Thomas hopes to take the next step in his development at PSV.

According to the Twitter account Feyenoord Youth Watcher Thomas was in conflict with his trainers at the Under 16 of Feyenoord. He was removed from the youth team selection by Robin van Persie and Brian Pinas earlier this season. Thomas is the third player from the 2007 Feyenoord generation to switch to PSV. Rivas Manuhutu and Jaden de Guzman already joined the team from Eindhoven last year.

Feyenoord Youth Watcher mentions that no less than twelve youth players from Feyenoord have made the transition to the PSV Academy in the past three seasons. These are Benyamin Shlomo (2013), Nathan Krijt (2012), Dapheson Sierra, Messah Ranu (2010), Gennaro van der Sluis (2008), De Guzman, Manuhutu (2007), Yiandro Raap (2006), Joelle Gill’ard (2005), Jamal Ourhris Gonzaga (2004), Ibrahima Berete (2003) and Cheick Toure (2001).
