Jong Ajax managed to book a narrow victory on Jong FC Utrecht on Monday evening. The Amsterdam talents were 3-2 too strong for the visitors from the Dom City, who managed to produce a connection goal twice in the final phase. Young Ajax reports in ninth place in the Kitchen Champion Division with their victory, while Young FC Utrecht remains in eighteenth place.

Young FC Utrecht, including Maarten Paes, Giovanni Troupée, Othman Boussaid, Justin Lonwijk and Daniel Arzani, took on a number of players who have already made the necessary minutes in the main force. The biggest opportunities in the first act, however, were for the home side, with Giovanni as the most dangerous man. The attacker was already close to the opening goal several times in the opening phase and after fifteen minutes of play his shot ended up at the intersection via Christopher Mamengi. In the remainder of the first half, no further goals were scored, but the second half showed a lot more goals.

Half an hour before the end, Young Ajax, under the watchful eye of Erik ten Hag and John van den Brom, took the lead via Sontje Hansen. The attacker who came in early was able to finish from the rebound after an earlier bet by Brian Brobbey. Ten minutes later, Terrence Douglas also made it 2-0, when the left back cut in and the ball smashed into the far corner beautifully. Young Ajax seemed to be sitting on roses, but still allowed it to be an exciting final phase.

Five minutes after the second goal, Jeredy Hilterman was able to work the tying goal behind Kjell Scherpen on a pass from Tim Pieters and Hilterman was also close to the equalizer shortly afterwards. On the other side of the road, Hansen was given an excellent opportunity to make his second of the evening on a pass from Brobbey, but Paes made a good save. This then turned out to be only a reprieve, as Brobbey recovered the margin of two seven minutes later. The visitors, however, refused to accept this and another hit by Hilterman followed at the request of Pieters. Jong FC Utrecht was unable to close the gap completely in the remainder of the match.
