Young Ajax failed to win for the fifteenth time in the last seventeen matches on Monday evening. The team of trainer Mitchell van der Gaag took the lead against FC Den Bosch via a penalty from Kenneth Taylor, but allowed the Noord-Brabant team to come back in the match and went down: 1-2. Den Bosch therefore climbs over FC Dordrecht and is from last place, while Jong Ajax dangles in eleventh place.

Youri Regeer was put down by Kevin Felida when entering the penalty area, after which Taylor Young Ajax took the lead with a penalty: 1-0. The U21 team had the better of the game in the next phase and also created sufficient opportunities. Sontje Hansen aimed a free kick just wide, while the sliding Kian Fitz-Jim hit a low cross by Youri Baas badly.

Regeer had an even better chance, who after a good cross from Regeer bumped into goalkeeper Wouter van der Steen. In the final phase of the first half, FC Den Bosch became stronger and that was also rewarded with the equalizing goal in the 42nd minute. Roy Kuijpers escaped the attention of Quinten Timber on the left flank and reached Jizz Hornkamp with a low cross, who suddenly fired in: 1-1.

Shortly after the break, a beautiful attack by Young Ajax via Hansen ended at Regeer, who found Van der Steen’s fingertips on his way from close by. Almost out of nowhere, Jong Ajax gave away a goal twenty minutes before the end, because defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo fell over. Paco van Moorsel passed the ball to the left flank at Kuijpers, who shot the ball around Kjell Scherpen in the cross: 1-2. Young Ajax still tried through Christian Rasmussen, who saw his sharp low cross pass by all his fellow players. The broken Kuijpers could have closed the game, but ran into Scherpen’s feet.
