The line-up of Barcelona for the meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarterfinals of the Europa League has been announced. Xavi has decided not to let any Dutchman start. Frenkie de Jong is replaced by Gavi. Luuk de Jong is not in the selection due to a positive corona test, while Memphis Depay is sidelined with an injury. At Eintracht, Sam Lammers has to settle for a place on the bench. The kick-off will take place at 9 p.m. in Frankfurt.

The Catalans have already announced that Luuk de Jong is still not in the selection after his positive corona test. The day before the Europa League game, Barça also announced that Depay is suffering from a hamstring injury and will be out for at least two weeks. In addition, Sergiño Dest is also missing from Xavi’s match selection. The right back is still too bothered by the hamstring injury he sustained in the Europa League game against Galatasaray.

The Catalan goal is defended as usual by Marc-André ter Stegen. The final post has a four-man defense in front of him in which Ronald Araújo gives substance to the right back position this time. In the won LaLiga game against Sevilla (1-0), that place was still reserved for Dani Alves, but the Brazilian is not registered for the Europa League. Gerard Piqué, Eric García and Jordi Alba complete the rearguard. The most important change is made in midfield: Frenkie de Jong is replaced by Gavi, who is accompanied by Sergio Busquets and Pedri.

Xavi also has a surprise in store in the front. Instead of Ousmane Dembélé, who gained confidence in the past three games, the coach chooses Adama Traoré. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may once again cause danger from the striker position, while Ferran Torres is posted on the left wing.

Barcelona line-up: Ter Stegen; Araújo, Pique, Garcia, Alba; Gavi, Busquets, Pedri; Traore, Aubameyang, Ferran
