Arsenal started the new season in the Premier League with a simple victory. The team of manager Mikel Arteta, who won the FA Cup and the Community Shield last month, won 0-3 over his compatriot Fulham on Saturday afternoon. Alexandre Lacazette, debutant Gabriel Magalhães and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have the goal production for the gunners. The acquisition Kenny Tete was not yet in Fulham’s match selection; Alphonse Aréola, hired by Paris Saint-Germain, sat down on the bench.

The start of Fulham in the city derby was there. Bernd Leno prevented Kebano Neeskens from taking care of the 1-0 early in the morning and then also had an answer on a shot from Denis Odoi. However, it was Arsenal who messed up the lead after eight minutes and then Arteta’s team also controlled the game. Debutant Willian did not get the ball in the goal kick past Marek Rodak, but the rebound was a prey for Lacazette: 0-1.

Arsenal threatened to double the lead several times during the rest of the first half. After less than half an hour of play, the ball landed on the posts after a free kick by Willian. At half-time, Aubameyang did not get the ball past Rodak, and so it remained with a single goal of the gunners in the first industry in Craven Cottage.

Gabriel Magalhães raised his debut 0-2 a few minutes after the break: after a corner from Willian, the defender merely guided the doctrine through Rodak’s legs. Magalhães thus became the tenth player ever to immediately make his first Premier League debut for Arsenal. Aubameyang scored in a nice way for the 0-3 after less than an hour of play. The striker received the ball from Willian, steamed from the left and placed the ladder nicely in the right corner out of reach of Rodak.

Arsenal played the rest of the game professionally and were close to a fourth goal twenty minutes before the end. Rodak returned Lacazette’s dedication to good preparation work by Aubameyang and Kieran Tierney. A few minutes later, Michael Hector prevented the goalkeeper from making Aubameyang his second of the afternoon. Willian was no longer in the field at the time. The man who made his debut with two assistants alive has just been replaced by Nicolás Pepé.
