Brian Brobbey is a sought-after player. Florian Plettenberg from the German branch of Sky Sport reports on Tuesday via X that the Ajax attacker has been inquired about very often in the past period. Clubs must pay a transfer fee anyway, because Brobbey is still contracted to Amsterdam for three seasons.

Plettenberg adds that AS Roma is closely following the situation surrounding Brobbey. According to the German journalist, the attacker would like to make a transfer to the Premier League, although it is not known which club the 22-year-old Ajax striker prefers.

If interested clubs want to go ahead with Brobbey, they will have to pay an amount of between 25 and 30 million euros, according to Plettenberg. Ajax has not yet received a concrete bid for the young attacker.

Brobbey previously played abroad for a short time. He signed a four-year contract with RB Leipzig in 2021. After a disappointing six months, the striker returned to Ajax, which brought Brobbey back to the Johan Cruijff ArenA in mid-2022. Ajax had to pay more than 16 million euros for this, an amount that can increase to 20 million euros due to bonuses.

Two years later, Brobbey has become a regular player at Ajax. The counter now stands at 49 goals in 119 matches. Brobbey is currently enjoying a holiday, after participating with the Dutch national team in the European Championship in Germany. For Oranje, the tournament ended in the semi-final, in which England proved to be too strong with 1-2.

National coach Ronald Koeman only brought Brobbey on in injury time of the match against England, shortly after Ollie Watkins had scored the winning goal. Brobbey was unable to prevent the Netherlands from being eliminated during his brief appearance as a substitute.
