Borussia Dortmund won somewhat difficult on Tuesday evening with 2-0 against FC Ingolstadt, but had to do without Donyell Malen in the DFB Pokal game. Trainer Marco Rose tells afterwards that the Dutch attacker is struggling with a stomach infection. In Rose’s words, Malen can come back into action “when he’s off the toilet.”

Borussia Dortmund defeated the bottom of the 2.Bundesliga with two goals from Thorgan Hazard in the last fifteen minutes. “toto has already played one or two good games. It is important for him to stay fit, as is true for many players.”
“toto made the difference here with his substitution. He had a lot of good moves on the wing and showed himself in the penalty area,” continues the Borussia Dortmund coach. “We watched videos this morning of situations he exactly executed. He scored two goals and I hope he can continue that. We need several goalscorers to play good football in the coming weeks.”
Rose, whose team will once again be the opponent of Ajax in the Champions League next week, is struggling with personnel problems, as Erling Braut Haaland and Gregor Kobel are struggling with injuries. “We hope that Youssoufa Moukoko can play against 1.FC Köln again next Saturday. Dan-Axel Zagadou will play with the second team next weekend and will be available again after that. Raphaël Guerreiro still needs some time, because he is recovering from a muscle tear.”
