SC Cambuur booked the fourth league win in a row at NEC on Friday evening: a club record in the Eredivisie. In Nijmegen, the game between the two promoted clubs ended in 2-3. As a result, Cambuur has climbed to fourth place in the Eredivisie rankings, although that is no reason for Henk de Jong to celebrate.
“We just have to stay calm. Match to match. We are fourth, I don’t think that has ever happened. We still have ten points to get, then we will go into the polonaise,” the Cambuur trainer emphasized in conversation with ESPN. “We won. Cambuur was still 2-1 behind in Nijmegen halfway through, but turned it around after the break.
