Dusan Tadic sees a large number of potential world stars walking around at Ajax. In a video entry by Football International the captain is asked to use his crystal ball and he promises several teammates a bright future. Tadic also thinks that trainer Erik ten Hag has the qualities to work at the top of the world.

“Timber, Gravenberch, Rensch, Antony, Neres, Martínez and Álvarez”, Tadic sums up teammates who, in his eyes, can grow into ‘world stars’. “These guys have had a good year and can be world stars in five years, I hope.” Ten Hag is regularly associated with foreign clubs. Tadic does not dare to say whether his trainer will be tempted to make a switch. “We are going to see him at a top club, although that can also be Ajax. But he can also reach Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.”

His personal future is also a topic of discussion. 33-year-old Tadic does not know how long he will continue as a football player. “I would still like to play in five years, but you never know what will happen in football,” he says. For the time being, the Serb is focusing on a good end to the season with Ajax. “The championship in the Eredivisie is going to be difficult, that’s always exciting. Feyenoord and PSV are good, we are good,” Tadic looks ahead. “It’s not easy, but we have to become champions.”

Ajax is currently in second place in the Eredivisie, one point behind leader PSV. Number three Feyenoord also has a view of the top two. Tadic is not happy with the competition at the top. “I don’t like it when it’s exciting, I prefer to become champion quietly,” acknowledges the attacker, who finally also hopes for much success for Ajax in the Champions League. “I think anything is possible in the last sixteen. You have to have faith in it, although it is all about details.”
