Louis van Gaal explained the World Cup selection of the Dutch national team on Friday afternoon at the press conference in Zeist. The national coach of the Dutch initially did not want to discuss why and why not select certain players, but eventually let a few things go. “I don’t know if you see matches, but Jasper Cillessen has not been in shape in recent weeks,” said Van Gaal, among other things. “I think the World Cup is now and not in five weeks.”
