Feyenoord and Vitesse have been penalized by UEFA for disturbances in recent Conference League matches. The Rotterdammers have received a fine of 48,000 euros, while Vitesse has been ordered to pay 35,000 euros. In addition, Vitesse is not allowed to bring supporters with them to the next away match in a European context.

Feyenoord is being punished because supporters set off fireworks and threw objects (40,000 euros) and caused destruction (8,000 euros) in the away game against Slavia Prague (2-2) on 25 November. A suspended sentence with a term of two years is also handed out for setting off fireworks and throwing objects: Feyenoord is not allowed to take fans with them for one away game in the event of new disturbances.

Furthermore, Feyenoord must contact Slavia Prague within thirty days to compensate damage caused by supporters. Specifically, there is talk of two broken seats in the Eden Arena. Feyenoord’s penalty pot is no less than 325,875 euros this season. Vitesse is penalized for disturbances in the away match against Stade Rennes (3-3), also on November 25.

Vitesse supporters threw bottles, cups and about twenty chairs at the CRS, the French Mobile Unit. In addition, the toilets in the stadium were beaten up. If the club advances to the knockout phase of the Conference League, the away game will therefore be played without accompanying supporters. Vitesse must contact Stade Rennes within thirty days about reimbursing the costs of, among other things, twenty broken chairs and two washbasins.

Feyenoord already announced in a statement last month that it was disappointed with the many fines. Feyenoord deeply regrets that the club has already had to pay UEFA € 277,875 in fines this season and once again calls on the responsible part of the supporters to stop the above behavior that causes great financial and other damage to the club. the club wrote at the time.
