Lucas Vázquez wants to go for his chance at Real Madrid. The 29-year-old outdoor player has according to Marca refused a lucrative offer from Qatar and has set his sights on a new season at the Royal. The Spaniard is still open to offers, but does not see a transfer as a necessity.

Vázquez is tied up for another year in the Santiago Bernabéu and Real does not intend to offer a contract extension. Vázquez is aware of the club’s position, but still wants to go for his chances under coach Zinédine Zidane. According to Marca chances are Vázquez will indeed play for another year with Real before he leaves transfer free.

So the routine player was able to sign a lucrative contract in Qatar, but sees himself acting in top football in the coming years. For the time being, there are no concrete offers from other clubs, so it is quite possible that Vázquez will also play for Real next season. The striker takes into account that he will get few playing minutes from Zidane because of the fierce competition.

Vázquez has played 206 games for the Spanish superpower so far, resulting in 24 goals and 46 assists. Last season the counter got stuck on 23 games, 2 goals and 2 assists.
