Kylian Mbappé has reached an agreement in principle with Real Madrid on a transfer in 2024, it reports Foot Mercato. The 24-year-old attacker then runs out of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and can sign on a free transfer in Madrid. Mbappé would switch to the Royal can look forward to a huge loyalty bonus of no less than 90 million euros in 2024.

Mbappé recently announced in a formal letter that he would not extend his contract until mid-2024 under any circumstances. Mbappé’s contract includes the option to extend the commitment for a year, but that would require mutual approval. PSG absolutely does not want to let his star player leave next year on a free transfer and hopes to sell him this summer. However, the Parisians cannot force Mbappé to leave. The France international himself has already indicated that he does not intend to make a transfer in the next two months, to the frustration of PSG.

French media soon wrote that Mbappé would aim for a transfer to Madrid this summer. These rumors were subsequently debunked by the attacker himself via Twitter. “LIES,” Mbappé wrote in response to the tweet from Le Parisien. “At the same time: the bigger the lie, the better it works. I have already said that next season I will continue at PSG, where I am very happy.”

According to Foot Mercato Mbappé does have ears for a transfer to Real, but then in the summer of 2024. The French news site writes that the attacker has even reached an agreement in principle with the Madrilenians to make the switch to the Spanish top club in one year. If Mbappé chooses to first serve out his contract with PSG, he can credit a loyalty bonus of 90 million euros from Real to his bank account, according to reports in September.

Mbappé has been playing for PSG since the summer of 2018, which took him over from AS Monaco for 180 million euros at the time. In recent years, he has played no less than 260 official games with the Parisians, in which he scored 212 goals and 98 assists. This makes him the all-time top scorer of the European superpower.
