Luciano Narsingh will continue his career in Cyprus. The wing attacker has reached an agreement in principle with Nea Salamina, the club announced on Tuesday morning through the official channels. His contract expires in the coming transfer period with the Polish Miedz Legnica, with whom he was relegated from the Polish Ekstraklasa last season.

Narsingh may have finished in last place with his team, but he still scored five goals and an assist in the Polish league. Those numbers were good enough for the number seven in the Cypriot league to offer him a contract. At Nea Salamina, the 32-year-old winger will play together with Giorgos Katsikas. He was active for FC Twente from 2015 to 2017.

Narsingh made his breakthrough at the age of nineteen in the first team of sc Heerenveen, where he enjoyed a large part of his youth education. In Friesland, the nineteen-time the Dutch international caused a lot of furore. In the 2011/12 season he provided no fewer than 22 assists and scored eight goals. These impressive figures earned him a transfer to PSV, which paid four million euros for him.

At PSV he became champion of the Netherlands twice and won the Johan Cruijff Shield three times. In 2017 he moved to Swansea City for five million euros. However, his Premier League adventure was not a success. He then returned to Feyenoord in the Netherlands, where he was loaned out to Twente. In 2022 he turned up in Australia, at Sydney FC, before embarking on a Polish adventure last season.
