Barcelona seems to be able to add a very nice amount of money soon. Marlon Santos da Silva Barbosa, better known by his football name Marlon, is about to leave Sassuolo for Fulham. According to Sky Italia the English club will transfer half of the transfer fee of presumably fifteen million euros to Barcelona.

In fact, Barcelona sold Marlon to Sassuolo two years ago for six million euros and stipulated at the time that the club would touch another fifty percent of the revenue if the Brazilian defender played less than fifty games for the Serie A club in the future. Marlon has 41 appearances for Sassuolo after two seasons, so a possible transfer in this transfer period would give Barcelona a nice bonus.

The Italian media reported a EUR 15 million bid by Fulham for Marlon, which would give Barcelona EUR 7.5 million. Sassuolo will start the new Series A season tonight with a home game against Cagliari, but Marlon has been put on the reserve bench by trainer Roberto De Zerbi, presumably in anticipation of a transfer to Fulham.

Barcelona picked up Marlon three years ago for about five million euros from
Fluminense, but in the end had little fun with the Brazilian. He only played three games in the main force of the Catalans and was leased to OGC Nice, before moving to Sassuolo in the summer of 2018.
