Bas Dost can make a top transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, claims the Daily Mail. The 31-year-old striker of Eintracht Frankfurt is reportedly high on the list of manager José Mourinho, who sees the Dutchman as backup for Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son. The Bundesliga club is demanding about six million euros for Dost.

According to the Daily Mail Tottenham is currently preparing a bid for the eighteen-time Dutch national. Mourinho reportedly denounces the lazy attitude of many players within the squad and would see a welcome reinforcement in Dost. The striker is seen by the Portuguese as a hard-working target man who can give the team a new impulse.

Mourinho has indicated several times that he would like to add another striker to his selection. After the 0-1 defeat against Everton last Sunday, Mourinho has come to the conclusion that a new option in the striker is an absolute necessity for the club. Dost, who is still two years away from Eintracht Frankfurt, is considered the most important candidate to strengthen Tottenham. Recently, the striker has also been linked to Club Brugge.

The routinier was also in the picture at Tottenham two years ago, but at the time it didn’t come to a deal. Dost has been playing at Eintracht Frankfurt since last summer. To date, the striker has scored 11 goals and 3 assists in 31 matches for the German club. Dost was previously active at FC Emmen, Heracles Almelo, sc Heerenveen, VfL Wolfsburg and Sporting Portugal.
