Tijjani Reijnders has indicated to AZ that he would like to make the switch to AC Milan. Gianluca Di Marzio reports this on Monday. However, there is no question of a switch yet; according to the transfer market expert, both Reijnders and AZ still have to talk to Milan. The expectation is that in Rossoneri will make a first offer soon.

It seems that Reijnders has now played his last game for AZ. In addition to Milan, the 24-year-old midfielder is also linked to Sporting Portugal, while an unnamed Premier League club has already made an offer of 14 million euros. However, that offer was declined; according to Di Marzio, Reijnders, who is still stuck in Alkmaar until mid-2027, must cost 18 million euros. At the beginning of March, Napoli, Bologna and Fiorentina already took place in the stands of Lazio for AZ’s game in the eighth finals of the Conference League.

If Reijnders does indeed make the switch to Milan, he could succeed Sandro Tonali. He is close to a transfer to Newcastle United and will bring the Italian superpower between 70 and 80 million euros. Last week, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano stated that the deal is in its final phase.

In addition to Reijnders, Milan is also working on another midfielder: Ruben Loftus-Cheeck, from Chelsea. According to Romano, the 27-year-old midfielder is already personally around with the number four of last Serie A season. The first contacts between the Englishman and Milan were made almost two months ago, and it now seems a matter of days before both parties are finalized.

Joey Veerman
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport Joey Veerman is also in the picture at Milan. The 24-year-old midfielder, who, according to various media, is also in the picture at Lazio, has been playing for PSV for a year and a half. This month he made his debut on behalf of the Dutch national team, during the game against Italy in the Final Four of the Nations League (2-3). Veerman, who may be seen as an alternative to Reijnders in the Italian fashion city, will remain in Eindhoven until mid-2026.
