Latest update:

Feyenoord has started week three of the 2024/25 season. The Rotterdammers managed to conclude the first two practice matches against FC Dordrecht (0-4) and KRC Genk (3-1) with victories. New coach Brian Priske called on several young players, who hope for a definitive breakthrough in De Kuip next season. Football zone introduces them to you!

Givairo Read (18)

Feyenoord took over Givairo Read on a free transfer from FC Volendam last summer. Since then, things have gone well for the Amsterdam wing defender. Read made his debut in the Europa League at the age of seventeen during the home match against AS Roma (1-1). He was then quickly transferred to the first team of Feyenoord.

Antef Tsoungui (21)

Brussels native Antef Tsoungui was picked up on a free transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion last year and appeared on the training field at FC Dordrecht a day later. The right-footed defender made such an impression at De Krommedijk that he will be given the chance at Feyenoord this summer. It remains to be seen whether Priske will continue to hold on to Tsoungui in the coming weeks. Gernot Trauner is currently absent due to an injury, but will return in due course.

Jeyland Mitchell (19)

Costa Rican Jeyland Mitchell is Feyenoord's most surprising purchase so far. The Rotterdammers paid no less than 2.5 million euros to take over the seven-time international from LD Alajuelense in his home country. Feyenoord sees Mitchell as a direct reinforcement for the first team, although it remains to be seen whether he can adapt quickly in Rotterdam-Zuid.

Djomar Giersthove (19)

Centre-back Djomar Giersthove was captain of Feyenoord Under 19 in the Youth League last season, under trainer Robin van Persie. In the prestigious youth tournament, Giersthove showed himself to be a physically strong man-marker, who can also handle the ball very well. Just like Lutsharel Geertruida, Giersthove has a nose for the goal, which makes him an extra attacking weapon.

Jan Plug (19)

Katwijker Jan Plug is the younger nephew of Feyenoord icon Dirk Kuijt. The left-footed defender was able to count on a starting place in Feyenoord's 3-4-3 formation during the first two practice matches. Plug is not known as the greatest talent in the Feyenoord Academy, but made a great impression during his first unofficial appearances in Rotterdam service.

Gjivai Zechiel (20)

Priske is already a fan of midfielder Gjivai Zechiël. “I have been with Zechiël for a week now, but I already love him,” the Dane recently said in an interview with Feyenoord ONE. Zechiël even wore the captain's armband after the break during Feyenoord's first two practice matches. It therefore seems that the curly-haired Rotterdammer will definitely feature in Priske's plans this season.

Antoni Milambo (19)

Antoni-Djibu Milambo is perhaps the greatest talent currently at Feyenoord. Transfer market estimates his current market value at 6 million euros. Milambo could be a wild card for Priske, as the right-footed player can play in all the different roles as a midfielder. The youth international can also be used as a winger. So far, Milambo has played eighteen matches in the first team of Feyenoord, in which he managed to score once and provided an assist.

Shiloh 't Zand (21)

Rotterdam native Shiloh 't Zand is back at Feyenoord after a successful loan spell at FC Dordrecht. On behalf of the sheep heads he came, mostly playing as a controller, to 11 goals and 5 assists in 39 official matches. 'T Zand hopes for a chance in De Kuip, where there is quite a lot of competition. A new loan within the Eredivisie cannot be ruled out.

Jaden Slory (19)

Right winger Jaden Slory is the son of former international Andwélé Slory. The youth international extended his contract with Feyenoord in February until mid-2027, despite interest from Bayern Munich, among others. Slory has been regarded as one of the greatest attacking talents in the Feyenoord Academy for years, but is still waiting for his official debut. During the current preparation, the right-footer is knocking on the door with good performances against Dordrecht and Genk.

Leo Sauer (18)

Bratislava-born Sauer collected quite a few matches for Feyenoord 1 last season: no less than fifteen. However, the right-footed left winger only played 288 minutes under successful coach Arne Slot. The teenager did score two goals and provide four assists. Sauer will hope that he will be able to show himself a lot more often under Priske.

Sauer was active with Slovakia at the European Championship this summer.
