Ajax was 4-0 too strong for Borussia Dortmund in the group stage of the Champions League on Tuesday evening. It was a memorable evening, also for Jurriën Timber. The talented Ajax defender kept the feared Erling Braut Haaland from scoring and stepped off the field together with his teammates as the winner. The Norwegian striker was close to scoring three times, but Remko Pasveer always stood in the way. After the match, Timber addressed his Instagram followers: “Use three emojis to describe this evening. These are mine,” said Timber, before using three emojis with the eyes replaced by red stars.
The football world is fully responding to Timber’s call.
