Ronald Koeman returns Sergiño Dest, Clément Lenglet and Pedri to the Barcelona starting eleven. The three will appear on Sunday evening at 9 p.m. at the start signal of the away game in and against Valencia. Koeman, who has to sit in the stands due to a suspension and is therefore replaced by Alfred Schreuder, also prefers Ronald Araújo over Óscar Mingueza.
The Barcelona goal is defended by the undisputed Marc-André ter Stegen, who has not kept his goal clean in LaLiga since April 5. After the 1-0 win over Real Valladolid, goals against Real Madrid (2-1 loss), Getafe (5-2 win), Villarreal (1-2 win) and Granada (1-2 loss) followed. The three-man defense is formed by Araújo, Gerard Piqué and Clément Lenglet. The latter is preferred to Samuel Umtiti, who had a surprising starting place against Granada, while Araújo has his first starting place since the top match against Real Madrid at the expense of Óscar Mingueza.
The sides are both offensive and defensive for Dest and Jordi Alba. In the midfield there is room for Sergio Busquets, who plays match number 625 for Barcelona, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri. The latter also did not start against Granada last Thursday, as Ilaix Moriba was preferred. The vanguard in the 3-5-2 system is captain and Pichichi Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann. Both Messi and De Jong are on edge.
