Between Barcelona and Luis Suárez things don’t seem to be going well anymore. Both parties talk about dissolution of the contract running until 2021, but according to Sport there’s not a single shot in the case. In spite of everything, Suárez is willing to fully commit himself to the Catalans. However, coach Ronald Koeman doesn’t need the 33-year-old striker for next season, which makes the situation at the Camp Nou rather complicated.

Koeman had no place for Suárez in last Saturday’s match against Gimnàstic (3-1). Sport knows to report that the routine watched the Barcelona practice match on television at home. Koeman’s decision caused dissatisfaction with Suárez, who nevertheless has no intention of throwing in the towel now. Should the Dutch coach need him, the former Ajacied will give everything for the club that took him over from Liverpool in 2014, so it sounds.

Barcelona has the ‘Ivan Rakitic method’ in mind for Suárez. The Croatian midfielder agreed to prematurely dissolve the commitment running until 2021. Rakitic has meanwhile returned to his old love Seville. Suárez, however, does not want to leave Barcelona in such a way. He is of the opinion that the club management is heading for a break and not the other way around. The experienced attacker only agrees to dissolve the contract if he simply gets paid his last year of contract. Barcelona in turn is willing to keep Suárez in the stands for a year.

Should Barcelona and Suárez still come to an agreement on the termination of cooperation, Uruguay’s striker may remain active in LaLiga. According to various Spanish media, Atlético Madrid is in the market for him. The BBC reported in early September that Suárez would have reached a personal agreement with Juventus. Shortly afterwards, reports appeared in the Italian media that there were doubts about La Vecchia Signora because of the contract situation in Barcelona.
