Napoli is in talks with Fiorentina about a transfer from Sofyan Amrabat, among other things Sky Italy to report. Go with that i Partenopei compete with Atalanta, which would also be interested in the services of the 25-year-old midfielder. Fiorentina, where he is still under contract until mid-2024, would be willing to cooperate in a transfer, provided an agreement is reached on a rental period with option to buy.

Transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Amrabat has been on Napoli’s radar for some time. The Neapolitans hoped to take over the Moroccan international from Hellas Verona in January 2020, but they lost the battle for his signature from Fiorentina. At the time, Hellas Verona raised the purchase option, worth approximately 3.5 million euros, after Amrabat was rented from Club Brugge, after which the defensive midfielder was immediately sold to la Viola for 10 million euros.

Fiorentina then chose to rent the former Feyenoord player for six months at Hellas Verona, where he had a successful period. Amrabat grew into a regular base force and returned to Fiorentina in July. He could also count on a permanent place in the team there. In total, Amrabat made 31 Serie A appearances last season, in which he did not score and provided no assists.

Amrabat, currently still recovering from a groin injury, has been linked to Atalanta in recent days. La Dea had expressed interest in Morten Thorsby from Sampdoria, who, however, do not want to cooperate in a transfer. Thus Atalanta would have ended up with Amrabat, but Fiorentina seems to have already waved that interest away. Owner Rocco Commisso only wants to cooperate in a transfer of the Moroccan Dutchman under the ‘right conditions’.
