Lars Veldwijk remains loyal to Suwon FC. The now thirty-year-old attacker reports via his Instagram page that he has extended his contract with the club from South Korea, although the tall striker does not specifically discuss the term of the new contract. However, Transfermarkt has reported that Veldwijk will remain with Suwon FC until December 31, 2022 in the new situation.

Veldwijk, currently top scorer in the South Korean K-League with fourteen goals, exchanged Sparta Rotterdam for Jeonbuk Hyundai in January 2020. Six months later, the former striker of FC Volendam, FC Utrecht, FC Groningen, PEC Zwolle, FC Dordrecht and Excelsior signed a contract with his current employer. With the help of the accurate Veldwijk, Suwon FC managed to reach the highest level in South Korea and they currently occupy a nice third place.

On Instagram you can see how Veldwijk is smiling and posing at different locations with the shirt of Suwon FC, with the text ‘contract extension’ on it. Professional football players Randy Wolters, Marvin Peersman, Thomas Lam and Ragnar Prince, among others, congratulate Veldwijk in the comments with his new contract in South Korea.
