Hakim Ziyech has been offered to Barcelona by his agent Nakhli Mondial, Gerard Romero reports. It was already known that Barca are interested in the 28-year-old attacking midfielder from Chelsea and after the collapsed salary negotiations between the Catalans and Ousmane Dembele, a transition, whether temporary or not, could be hastened.

Barcelona are likely to try to sell Dembele in January after the 24-year-old winger has indicated that he does not want to renew under the current terms. In this way, Barça can still recoup a small part of the 135 million euros paid for the Frenchman. With the money that is raised and the salary post that is then released, Barça can look for a replacement, for which Ziyech is seriously in the picture. The number ten annex hanging right winger plays a less important role at Chelsea than he would like and is open to a departure. On Wednesday, Ziyech stayed on the bench for ninety minutes against Brighton & Hove Albion (1-1).

Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed that the former Ajax player is on Barcelona’s radar, but that interest cooled after bringing in Ferran Torres. Barca spent at least 55 million euros on the right attacker of Manchester City, who can also play as a striker. This made the arrival of Ziyech seem unnecessary, also because it was expected that Dembélé would sign. Now that is not the case, Barça must also replace the latter.

Barcelona will probably bet on a rental transfer and have more irons in the fire besides Ziyech. Anthony Martial and Bryan Gil have also hinted through their representatives that they want to go to the Camp Nou, Romero knows. Martial is superfluous at Manchester United and is coveted by Sevilla, who have not yet reached an agreement with the English about the terms of a possible rental deal. Gil was brought in with great expectations by Tottenham Hotspur last summer, but the left winger has not been able to justify his price tag of 25 million euros for the time being.
