Abdou Harroui is going to leave Sparta Rotterdam. The Eredivisie club reports on Friday morning that an agreement has been reached on the transfer fee of the midfielder. Sparta does not disclose which club it is about. Harroui is still in talks with the club in question and is missing from the match selection of trainer Henk Fraser for the duel with Heracles Almelo on Saturday evening.

Sparta reports on the club website that 23-year-old Harroui has been given permission to reach an agreement with his new club and then undergo a medical examination there. “We can’t give any further information at the moment,” it sounds. According to RTV Rijnmond Harroui will not remain active in the Eredivisie. The regional broadcaster is able to report that Sparta has agreed with a foreign club. The Rotterdammers are betting on a transfer fee of 2.5 to 3 million euros.

With a contract until mid-2022, it was expected that Harroui would leave Het Kasteel this summer. Last year he seemed to be on his way to FC Groningen, but a deal was not reached. In recent months, he has been linked to Galatasaray, Lille OSC and Rangers FC, among others. Despite all the rumors, Harroui was just in the starting lineup at Sparta last weekend in the 4-0 lost away game against FC Utrecht. That was probably Harroui’s last duel in the shirt of Sparta.
