It seems that PSV and Ritsu Doan will part ways after this season. It Eindhoven Dagblad report on Wednesday afternoon that various clubs have already made inquiries with the number two in the Eredivisie regarding the availability of the Japanese midfielder. Doan has been on loan for Arminia Bielefeld since the start of this season, where he was named Talent of the Month in the Bundesliga this week.

Doan, with a contract with PSV until mid-2024, can be taken over by Arminia for five million euros this summer, the aforementioned regional newspaper also reports. The Germans would like to highlight the option in the lease, although it depends on the end of this football year. Arminia is currently sixteenth, three points above the relegation line in the Bundesliga. Should the club be relegated, there is a good chance that there are no financial options to take over Doan from PSV permanently.

In addition to PSV, various clubs from Germany have already reported themselves to the management of Arminia, as it recently became clear. It Eindhovens Dagblad therefore expects Doan to leave the Philips Stadium after two seasons as a contract player. The 22-year-old Japanese was taken over from FC Groningen for 7.5 million euros in 2019. However, under successive Mark van Bommel, Ernest Faber and Roger Schmidt, he was unable to secure a permanent place, so it was decided to lease it to Arminia.

The relegation candidate from the Bundesliga, however, only wants to make a final decision regarding Doan after the end of this season. The midfielder hired from PSV is one of the bright spots in the low flyer this year. Doan is a fixed value in the team of trainer Frank Kramer, who also has Mike van der Hoorn and Michel Vlap at his disposal. The playmaker has scored 29 games so far (4 goals and 3 assists).
