Latest update:

Dailon Livramento (23) will soon leave the Keuken Kampioen Divisie behind him. The MVV striker will arrive in Italy on Monday to complete his transfer to Serie A club Hellas Verona, according to Gianluca Di Marzio of the Italian branch of Sky Sport.

A departure of Livramento from Maastricht has been in the air for some time. The Rotterdam native, who plays his international matches for Cape Verde, was also on the wish list of FC Groningen coach Dick Lukkien.

The Pride of the North reached no agreement with MVV and so the transfer did not get off the ground. No worries for Livramento, as he has found another new employer in Verona.

With that, the attacker is rewarded for a strong period at the second level of the Netherlands. Livramento was good for 16 goals and 2 assists in 35 matches last Keuken Kampioen Divisie season.

MVV also benefits from the transfer, as Livramento still had a contract for one season. According to Football International the financially troubled club had previously put a price tag of half a million euros around the neck of its player. It is unknown whether Verona will cough up that amount to buy out Livramento's contract.

The four-time international of Cape Verde leaves Maastricht after two seasons. MVV took him over on a free transfer from Roda JC in 2022. In his professional career, Livramento did not play matches for clubs other than Roda and MVV. He did have a contract with NAC Breda for several years, where he completed part of his youth training.

Livramento is far from the first player with a past in Dutch football to sign for Verona. Currently, Jayden Braaf, Elayis Tavsan, Abdou Harroui, Tomás Suslov and Ajdin Hrustic are under contract with the club.
