Ilias Sebaoui will play for sc Heerenveen next season. The Frisians are hiring the creative player from Feyenoord, reports Football International. Heerenveen thus wins the battle against NAC Breda, which was also interested.

Sebaoui, who only needs to undergo a medical examination, was one of the best players in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie last season. His period at FC Dordrecht earned him a contract extension at Feyenoord, where he is now contracted until mid-2026, with an option for an extra year.

Due to the great competition at Feyenoord, the club was once again open to a loan period for the Moroccan Belgian, who this time will be able to show his skills at the highest level at Heerenveen. There he will work under Feyenoord icon Robin van Persie.

Heerenveen initially set their sights on another star from the Keuken Kampioen Divisie: Basar Önal. However, he chose to leave De Graafschap for NEC, leaving the Frisians empty-handed.

Sebaoui, who mainly plays as a left winger, will compete with Danilo Al-Saed and Osame Sahraoui at the Abe Lenstra Stadium. The latter will most likely move abroad, while Al-Saed can also play on the right flank.

It was still exciting for Heerenveen whether Sebaoui would opt for a temporary move to the Abe Lenstra Stadium, because NAC Breda also reported for the 22-year-old right-footer at the last moment. However, Sebaoui chooses Heerenveen.

In addition to Al-Saed and Sebaoui, Heerenveen also strengthened itself this transfer period with Amara Condé, Levi Smans, Sam Kersten and Mateja Milovanovic.
