Romelu Lukaku posted pictures of himself on Instagram on Sunday showing him preparing for the start of the preparation with Internazionale. “A workout at 7 a.m. in paradise,” he captioned it. One follower commented, “So you finally escaped from Giorgio Chiellini’s pocket.” This referred to the quarterfinals of the European Championship between Belgium and Italy (1-2), in which Lukaku scored from a penalty, but was otherwise rendered harmless.

Lukaku couldn’t resist responding to that comment. “Italy won and I’m happy for you, I really am… But we are the champions of Italy, with Internazionale, remember that.” Lukaku quickly deleted his comment, but not before taking screenshots of it.
