The phrase that ‘Barcelona is the best there is’ comes from a supporters song that is regularly sung at the Camp Nou. The fact that Dembélé shares this Instagram post through his own channels is seen as a telling signal about his near future. Although Dembélé is not the only player who has taken over the photo from Barcelona, ​​because, for example, Memphis Depay also placed the post in his Instagram Stories.

Romano already mentioned Dembele’s wish last week to extend his expiring contract with Barcelona. According to the transfer market expert, the Frenchman had rejected an offer from Newcastle United and indicated to his agent that he wanted to sign a new contract in Catalonia until mid-2024. Where Romano reported that Barcelona was optimistic about reaching an agreement with Dembélé soon, wrote Mundo Deportivo that the club was surprised by that news and had had no contact with the player and his agent for ten days.

Dembele has long been plagued by injuries since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
