Thanks to a resounding 0-3 victory over Romania, the Dutch national team qualified for the quarter-finals of the European Championship in Germany on Tuesday evening. Today Inside-Reporter Tom Staal gauged the atmosphere in Munich after the match, but incurred the wrath of a Romanian supporter.

Staal, who is known for his often provocative interviewing style, sought out Romanian fans with his cameraman in addition to Dutch supporters to question them.

“I am Romanian and I am very disappointed,” one of the supporters told Staal, who then rubbed in the heavy defeat against the Dutch national team: “Yes, you really played lousy!”

The reporter tried to irritate another Romanian supporter with the same words and succeeded: “You are Dutch and you are trying to ridicule me now, just because we lost the match to the Netherlands.” Staal then responded teasingly by shouting a resounding 'yes!'

The Romanian fan didn't seem to appreciate that. While swearing, he tried to grab the microphone from Staal's hands, after which he pretended to be the reporter of Today Inside to hit.
