Mohamed Ihattaren is back in the PSV match selection. The attacking midfielder was left out of the group last week for the duel with Ajax (1-1), but will make his return on Sunday afternoon in the Fortuna Sittard away match. Ihattaren does start on the bench in Limburg, as trainer Roger Schmidt has decided. Ryan Thomas is not part of the selection and it is not yet clear why. The match starts at 2.30 p.m. in Sittard.

Ihattaren was accused of unprofessional behavior by Schmidt last week, but joined the group training again on Wednesday. Schmidt made it clear in the run-up to the game with Fortuna that Ihattaren had a chance to be selected again and that has happened. Yet he does not get a basic place as an attacking midfielder. Mario Götze stands next to Yorbe Vertessen, who replaces Thomas in the starting eleven.

In addition to Ihattaren, Noni Madueke will also be present. The attacker missed the last nine official matches due to a muscle injury. Ibrahim Sangaré returns from suspension. Pablo Rosario was left with muscle complaints from the duel with Ajax and appears not to be used against Fortuna. Cody Gakpo (ankle injury) is also not fit; Richard Ledezma, Mauro Júnior and Maxi Romero are out for the rest of the season due to knee injuries.

PSV line-up: Mvogo; Dumfries, Teze, Viergever, Max; Sangaré, Boscagli; Vertessen, Götze; Zahavi, Malen
