Robert Mühren has been voted the Best Player of the first period in the Kitchen Champion Division. The attacker of SC Cambuur therefore receives the Bronze Championship Shield. Nick Olij of NAC Breda may receive the Bronze Championship Shield for Best Keeper of the first period. Young AZ midfielder Mohammed Taabouni (Best Talent) and Ole Tobiasen van Almere City (Best Trainer) are the other prize winners.

It is the fourth time that Mühren has received the Bronze Championship Shield. Last season he already received this award as the Best Player of the second period, and as the top scorer of the first and third periods in the 2019/20 season. The result is based on votes of the trainers and captains of all Kitchen Champion Division clubs and on votes of the supporters. Kaj de Rooij (NAC Breda), Issa Kallon (SC Cambuur) and Elías Már Ómarsson (Excelsior) were the other nominees.

Olij stays ahead of his competitors Jay Gorter (Go Ahead Eagles), Sonny Stevens (SC Cambuur) and Stijn van Gassel (Helmond Sport) in the election. The NAC keeper also won this trophy in the first period of last season. The eighteen-year-old Taabouni made a great impression in the Young AZ shirt in the first period and was therefore chosen as the greatest talent. Tobiasen remained unbeaten with Almere City in the first period and has been rewarded for this performance.

The Bronze Championship Shields are awarded prior to the first following home matches. It is still unknown who will receive the trophy as the top scorer of the first period. With two more catch-up races to go, it is still unknown who can win this honorary title. Excelsior forward Ómarsson is the current top scorer of the Kitchen Champion Division with ten goals. Mühren is on eight hits, followed by Sydney van Hooijdonk and Taabouni (7).
