Young Ajax defeated MVV Maastricht on Monday evening without too much difficulty: 3-0. Julian Rijkhoff started for the second time on the team from Amsterdam and opened his account in the Netherlands by scoring twice. At the same time, Jong FC Utrecht hosted AZ's peers in a match that resulted in four penalties. The Alkmaarders were better from eleven meters: 1-2.

Young Ajax – MVV 3-0

Young Ajax on a Monday evening often means that the Amsterdam promises come with a strong team and that was no different against MVV. Trainer Dave Vos sent the necessary A-selection players into the field with Anton Gaaei, Ahmetcan Kaplan, Ar'Jany Martha, Kian Fitz-Jim, Sivert Mannsverk and Silvano Vos. With Rijkhoff, the necessary quality also appeared at the start at the front.

The latter posed a threat to MVV's goal early in the game. Rijkhoff shot at Romain Matthys' goal after a low cross, but the Belgian keeper was able to easily make the save. A few minutes later it happened again. Rijkhoff was played about thirty meters from the goal, after which he immediately turned away from MVV defender Wout Coomans. The striker took a few more steps towards the box and then shot into the bottom left corner: 1-0.

Before half time, Rijkhoff would also score his second goal on behalf of Jong Ajax. Fitz-Jim captured the ball in MVV's half, after which he was able to put Jaydon Banel face to face with the Maastricht goalkeeper. Banel's effort was saved by Matthys, but the rebound for the open goal was a piece of cake for Rijkhoff: 2-0.

In the second half, Kaplan and Mannsverk, among others, were taken off. Ajax's main squad will be in action against FK Bodø/Glimt on Thursday and in all likelihood, Kaplan and Mannsverk will be among the first selection. After more than an hour of play, Jong Ajax made it 3-0. A cross from Fitz-Jim was cleverly headed in by substitute Nassef Chourak. Ultimately, Vos and Rijkhoff were also taken to the side early.

Young FC Utrecht – Young AZ 1-2

The Utrecht promises had an excellent opportunity to take the lead after 35 minutes of football. Young AZ defender Sem Dekkers committed a foul on Aurelio Oehlers in his own penalty area. Jesse van de Haar was allowed to connect from eleven meters, but Rome Jayden Owusu-Odure chose the right angle.

A little later the away team also received a penalty after a foul on Ro-Zangelo Daal. Nick Köster did not fail: 0-1. In the second half, the same Köster was allowed to score again from eleven meters, again as a result of a foul on Daal. This time Jong AZ also missed, which took the lead a few minutes later through Daal: 0-2. The match would also have a fourth penalty. Jong FC Utrecht captain Silas Andersen scored after 65 minutes and scored: 1-2.
