Riechedly Bazoer confirms that he is in the interest of PSV. The defender of Vitesse tells Broadcasting Gelderland that his brother and agent Irchandly has spoken to PSV. A switch is a serious option, although Bazoer does not know when: he could leave this month, but also only after the season. Tuesday morning, the first reports about Bazoer’s possible return to Eindhoven.

“I was also surprised when I saw it in the media,” Bazoer admits. “You try to keep it quiet, but that is difficult. After this conversation with you, I will immediately call my brother, who is also my agent. Then I will hear what the situation is.” At this point, Bazoer knows that contact has been made. “I will not ignore it. Two weeks ago my agent spoke with the technical director of PSV. We exchanged ideas. It was a good conversation. It is an option in the summer as well as in the winter period. “

A possible return of Bazoer to PSV is sensitive. The former youth player left for Ajax in 2012, against the wishes of then technical director Marcel Brands, where he experienced his breakthrough. He was part of the Eindhoven youth academy between 2006 and 2012, but never signed a professional contract there. Ajax then decided to bring him to Amsterdam, after which he returned to the Netherlands in 2019 in the shirt of Vitesse via VfL Wolfsburg and rental periods at FC Porto and FC Utrecht.

“I still live in Eindhoven myself, I still know a lot of people from the club there. I have indeed received the ambitious plans. We will see. Everything has to be right. For now I am here and I am doing well. my way at Vitesse”, Bazoer makes clear. If Vitesse still wants to earn something from Bazoer, he should be sold this winter. He will run out of his contract in Arnhem next summer. Trainer Thomas Letsch is aware of this and therefore takes the departure of his star player into account.

“Every player has his price. If PSV wanted that concretely and Bazoer too, we will talk. But I would think that is a shame. We prefer to keep Bazoer until the end of this season. We have been working together very nicely for a year and a half now.” , Letsch makes clear. It is also possible that PSV will only leave with Joey Veerman this winter and choose to wait until Bazoer can be picked up for free in the summer. In that case, he can finish the season at Vitesse, which is still active on three fronts and can therefore use his services well.
