Young Ajax booked their first victory of the season on Friday night. The Amsterdammers were visiting Go Ahead Eagles 0-3 too strong, due to goals from Kenneth Taylor, Brian Brobbey and Victor Jensen. At the same time, Roda JC Kerkrade easily won from FC Dordrecht (4-0), putting the Limburgers in the top of the Kitchen Champion Division.

Go Ahead Eagles – Young Ajax 0-3
With three defeats in the first three games, Jong Ajax had an extremely disappointing start to the season. Go Ahead Eagles, on the other hand, did not lose prior to the home game against the Amsterdammers and got the first two big chances of the game through Zakaria Eddahchouri. The first hit of the game fell on the other side of the pitch, however, after the ball went on the dot. Kenneth Taylor shot from eleven metres away, giving youngster Ajax the lead in Deventer.

Within the hour Jong Ajax managed to double the margin, after Giovanni had missed another opportunity. Brian Brobbey was able to go free towards Go Ahead Eagles’ goal and made no mistake with goalkeeper Jay Gorter: 0-2. While Jeroen Veldmate failed to bring the home side back in the game, Max de Waal Gorter saw the third Amsterdam goal of the evening on the other side. In injury time, Go Ahead Eagles had another chance at an honorary goal, but Veldmate missed out on a penalty kick. Victor Jensen then set the final score at 0-3, although Jong Ajax did not make it to the end with eleven men. De Waal had to leave after a second yellow card.

Roda JC Kerkrade – FC Dordrecht 4-0
After four games, FC Dordrecht is still only at one point, while Roda is at the top of the ranking with nine points from four duels. Despite chances for Roland Alberg and Jordy Croux, it took until the 33rd minute before the home team took the lead. From a penalty, Alberg put the 1-0 on the scoreboard. Just two minutes later Roda doubled the margin, after Croux was the end of a smooth attack. Soon after half time the Limburgers put an end to all uncertainty.

Amir Absalem signed up Alberg for the 3-0. The fact that the tension returned somewhat in the duel had to do with a red card for Erik Falkenburg. The offensive midfielder from ADO was sent off the pitch by referee Laurens Gerrets after an alleged elbow shot. Coach Jurgen Streppel was also sent off by Gerrets due to remarks on the lead. With ten men Roda did run out to 4-0 victory, due to a goal from Stefano Marzo in injury time.
