Real Sociedad seems to be hurt by Griezmann but still reaches CL

Atlético Madrid has managed to deal with Real Sociedad in its own Civitas Metropolitano. Diego Simeone’s team won 2-1 thanks to goals from Antoine Griezmann and Nahuel Molina. The former seemed to hurt his team a lot with a hit against his ex-club, but because Villarreal lost to Rayo Vallecano (2-1), the Basques still qualified for the Champions League.

Particularities
Atlético was the parent and in minute 36 it was hit. Griezmann cut in and took an effective left into the far corner: 1-0. Chances were no longer created before the break. Sociedad started the second half well, but Sergio Reguilón had a good opportunity from a counterattack. His left foot shot was blocked by Álex Remiro. Moments later, the goalkeeper saved again, this time by keeping his legs closed at a shot from Griezmann. Sociedad sank in the second half, but just in the phase that it bit off a bit more, it became 2-0. Griezmann passed well in the course to Molina, who left Remiro without a chance. Alexander Sørloth made it 2-1, but it wouldn’t get any closer. The Basques could still cheer when it turned out that Villarreal had lost.
