EVERTON football club will boast a strong South American line-up in the 2020-’21 English Premier League season.

This after the Toffees snatched the services of Real Madrid’s Colombian midfielder James Rodriguez for a sum of £ 22 million (almost R486 billion).

The star player and winner of the Golden Boot in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil on Monday signed a two-year contract with the option to extend it for another year.

James is also reuniting with Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti for the third time in his career.

It was Ancelotti who brought James from the Monaco to the Santiago Bernabeu during the 2014-15 season, where the lefty scored 13 goals and 13 assists in 29 games.

Ancelotti also lured Rodrigues to Bayern Munich in 2017, where he spent two seasons on loan.

Rodrigues fell out of favor at Real when the legendary Frenchman, Zinedine Zidane, took over the reins at the Los Blancos.

Rodrigues says he is excited to continue his career in the English Premier League.

“I’m very, very happy to be at the great club,” Rodrigues said.

“It’s a club with so much history and a manager who knows me very well.”

Everton also recently announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Allan.

Allan has played his club football for Italian Serie A team Napoli in recent seasons.

Then the Toffees also boast on the attack with the Brazilian goal scorers Richarlison and Bernard on the attack.

Richarlison is the Toffees’ go to man when it comes to scoring goals – he has scored 31 goals in 109 league games for Goodison Park Club so far.

He scored 13 of them in last season’s campaign.

Defender Yerry Mina is also from Colombia.
