Real Madrid has presented the away shirt for the new season. The top club comes in a predominantly dark blue shirt, with lighter shades and the Dutch adidas stripes on the shoulders. The shirt is shown to the outside world by Karim Benzema, Marcelo and Ferland Mendy, among others.
The new away shirt is inspired by street art in Madrid’s Malasaña district. The home shirt presented earlier also subtly refers to the local pride, as the pattern on the home shirt is supposed to represent the fountain on the Plaza de Cibeles. Real Madrid had a pink away shirt last year, but often played outside in the white home shirt or in a predominantly black third shirt, with pink influences.
