RB Leipzig has responded to the rumors about Brian Brobbey for the first time. In recent weeks, rumors have swelled about a soon departure of the nineteen-year-old striker, as Erik ten Hag announced that Marc Overmars is busy bringing him back to Ajax. Florian Scholz, commercial director at Leipzig, is opposite BILD know that East Germany is looking forward to Brobbey’s arrival.

Brobbey signed a four-year contract with Leipzig in March, which will take him over from Ajax on a free transfer. In recent weeks, however, it has become increasingly persistent that the striker would regret that choice. Also BILD writes that Brobbey has begun to doubt, partly due to the departure of Julian Nagelsmann to Bayern Munich. Markus Krösche, the sports director who brought Brobbey to Leipzig, has also left. The German boulevard newspaper writes that Brobbey and Ajax have already had some discussions about a common future.

Nevertheless, people still count on the arrival of Brobbey at Leipzig. “We are happy that Brian has signed with us and is coming to Leipzig next summer. We are in contact with him and are preparing with him for the coming season ”, says Scholz on behalf of Leipzig BILD know. Mike Verweij, club watcher of The Telegraph, said in the newspaper’s football podcast that the striker at Overmars has indicated that he would like to stay in Amsterdam. Verweij announced that there is talk of a transfer fee of seven million euros.
