A transfer from Julian Nagelsmann to Bayern Munich seems to be gaining momentum slowly but surely. Various international media, including Kicker, Goal and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, report that both parties intend to come out soon. Nagelsmann has, according to Kicker has already been asked whether his contract with RB Leipzig until mid-2023 can be dissolved.

Bayern is said to have officially expressed its interest in Nagelsmann. RB Leipzig has absolutely no intention of letting his trainer go without a fight, because the current number two of the Bundesliga would require a hefty transfer fee: according to Goal 30 million euros, Kicker it keeps at 25 million euros. Romano also predicts that the negotiations will not be easy, but nevertheless states that the intention is to press through in the coming days.

Nagelsmann would like to make the switch to Bayern himself, he says Kicker RB Leipzig has requested that its standing contract be terminated. Should his alliance actually be torn, seem die Roten Bullen no claim for compensation. In any case, Nagelsmann and RB Leipzig intend to provide clarity as soon as possible, so that the subject is off the table and no more questions about Bayern have to be asked.

Nagelsmann was appointed as head coach of TSG Hoffenheim five years ago at the age of 28. He thus became the youngest trainer of all time in the Bundesliga. He led Hoffenheim from the danger zone to qualifying for the Champions League. After three full seasons, he decided to move to Leipzig. With his current club, he reached the semi-finals of the Champions League last season, in which Paris Saint-Germain proved too strong over two matches. This season, Leipzig seems to be going to finish in second place in the German top competition under Nagelsmann.

Incidentally, Bayern also has to terminate the contract of the current trainer Hansi Flick until mid-2023. No discussions have been held about this for the time being, although the Bayern board would say BILD meet on Monday to discuss this. Although the German trainer himself has already announced his departure, the Bundesliga list captain has not yet officially confirmed the news. His departure was partly triggered by a difficult relationship with sports director Hasan Salihamidzic. Flick has been linked to employment with the German Football Association for months. He is seen as a top candidate to succeed Joachim Löw as national coach after the European Championship next summer.
